Love-Exercise

There are countless Self-Help books designed to show people how to navigate through life, taking them from where they are today to where they would like to be one day. But all of those books have the same thing in common; you have to do the work.Bettering our lives is a process, and it takes hard work. Getting in the best shape possible also takes hard work and commitment over the long haul. The trick is; if you learn to love the process, the results will come. As long as you put in the work, the results will have no choice but to show up and give you what you’ve worked so hard trying to achieve.

However, the truth of the matter is, it’s always easier to keep doing what you’ve always done. If you’re used to living a sedentary lifestyle then getting up, getting your body moving, and starting a regular exercise routine can be especially challenging. So what’s the answer?

Learn to love exercise. Improving your health and your life is the best gift you can give yourself. Creating a brand new, healthy lifestyle for yourself will be a process. But if you learn to love it, the results you want will be here in no time!

Another success story from our 2018 Weight Loss Challenge:

“I didn’t join the weight loss challenge to win; I wanted some help and inspiration in starting my path toward a healthier and more fit lifestyle. Losing some weight was a goal, especially because I am getting married this summer, but changing my relationship with exercise was more important to me. Over the past 12 weeks I’ve discovered that I really enjoy working out, and it has become a source of joy for me. My body does things now that it couldn’t before, and I feel happier, more energetic, and proud of my body. I appreciate the HealthSPORT staff’s encouragement through the entire challenge; it inspired me to keep going, even if it was just at my own (somewhat slow) pace. At this point, I like the way I look and feel, and I am far less self conscious than I was 12 weeks ago. That, to me, feels like the greatest “”win”" possible!"Hailey K.
