Ideally, exercise "should" be: 1) challenging, 2) effective, and 3) FUN. And while interval sprints on the treadmill or 20-minute bodyweight circuits can be great for building your engine and improving your aerobic capacity, it can be tricky to keep these activities enjoyable if you're doing them all the time.
Stuck in a cardio rut? Try a Zumba class!

This aerobic fitness program has been around since the 1990's and uses Latin-inspired dance moves to get your heart rate up and your body sweaty. Our experienced and high-energy Zumba instructors keep classes fun and engaging, and it's hard not to feel inspired while listening to the super catchy dance music.
Check out some of the top reasons why our current Zumba participants love it so much!

5 Reasons to Try a Zumba Class

1) It gives you a chance to try something new—which can help you avoid a plateau.

There's nothing more frustrating than putting in work only to feel like you're not getting the results you want. Challenging your body with a new type of exercise helps you break through a physical or mental plateau (or both) by giving you a new stimulus.

2) Zumba is FUN!

Even people who say "I can't dance" can enjoy themselves in a Zumba class. The upbeat tunes, the interesting moves, and the room filled with smiling and laughing people all make for a super fun 50 minutes—we'll argue, a lot more "fun" than an hour by yourself on a treadmill!

3) It's perfect for socializing.

Everyone's in this together. Like spin classes and other types of group fitness programs, Zumba is a great environment for socializing, since people get to "suffer and sweat" as a team. And not to worry—no one is taking themselves too seriously here! By taking a group fitness class, you may never know when you'll meet your next gym buddy.

4) It doesn't always feel like a "workout."

It's amazing how great music can help you lose track of time. Plus, if you're learning Zumba moves and paying close attention to the instructor, you mightn't even notice how hard you're actually working. It's a great way to truly take your mind off all your stresses outside the gym, giving you a little mental "reboot" so you can tackle your day-to-day with greater poise.

5) It's safe and easy for most.

Who knew you could get such a great workout simply by moving your body to the beat? Our instructors can help make sure that everyone is comfortable with the movements in class, and there's really no wrong way to do this—just move in a way you feel comfortable!
